This project aimed to bring Takahe Studio online. Working with the studio owners, we uncovered the stories and history essential for the studio's identity. Takahe's refurbished workshop, a former graffiti-covered racquetball court, became its identity symbol. We preserved some graffiti as a testament to their history and commitment to restoring 'broken' things.
On shoot day, I used the remaining graffiti as a backdrop, defining the website's identity and directly representing the studio's unique character. By showcasing the 100% up-cycled serving board range above the fold, we instantly conveyed the brand's values to visitors.
